I am man. Pick up heavy box. Change tire. Loosen jar top. Build and fix stuff. Dispose of spiders. And I love kittens! What? I can't help it! Just because I have one doesn't mean I have to be one.

I've been here since late 2005 because I enjoyed the quizzes too much to delete my account while I wasn't single, but hey now I am again.

Here's what I want out of life:

I want a house with a yard and a garage or basement where I can tinker / blow myself up, a woman with whom to share laughter, conversation, and back rubs, and a kid or two some day. Ideally I'd like to spend more time with my hobbies - writing and music - maybe do some freelance composing for amateur & student films, and take more vacations.

"Less Aggressive": This one intrigues me because when something goes wrong I act when others stand by and watch.

"More Kinky:" "Has a healthy appetite" would be more accurate.

"Less spiritual": I am agnostic, yes. But when I'm high in the Rockies or standing before Tane Mahuta, a 2,000 year old tree worshiped by the Maori of New Zealand, I feel something that I can only describe as "spiritual."

"Less Spontaneous": OkCupid's wrong on that one.

"More thrifty": Because I do not need an SUV. Unless it has missiles and an ejection seat. That would be awesome.

I have degrees in History & English education so naturally I own a small business. Figure that one out.

I enjoy hanging out with my friends. They're all great people, many of whom I've known for years and years. I enjoy travel and spent the best two weeks of my life in New Zealand.

I'm good with my hands. I enjoy making and fixing things, and I have yet to blow myself up. If at first you don't succeed...

I'm a good listener. I'm not sure why but people often come to me with their problems and I'm told I have a helpful and compassionate ear.

I am no professional pianist, but one thing I do well is improvise. You can plonk me in front of a keyboard and say, "gimme somethin' new!" and I can do it. (You just snickered at the word 'pianist' didn't you.)

Movies: I -love- a good movie. For me to really get into a movie, it needs to be at least somewhat thought provoking - have a method or message behind the madness. I could list dozens of favorite movies. Here are 5: Dr. Strangelove, Life of Brian, Kingdom of Heaven, Aliens, Master & Commander. Favorite Music: Progressive rock, Classic rock, Power Metal, Classical, Jazz, Blues, Celtic

Favorite Foods: Lasagne, steak, cheesburgers of unhealthy size, Chinese, shellfish, soup, fresh bread, milk (yes, I am a man and I love milk!) brandy / cognac, and cheesecake.
